As it became known, the Russian telecom operator MTS accuses Twitter of copyright infringement. The conflict flared up over the company logo.
We remind you that in 2006, the Russian holding company AFK Sistema rebranded all of its subsidiary telecommunication enterprises. The new logo is the image of a white egg in a colored square.
As it turned out, the Twitter icons are just as colorful.
The company MTS OJSC perceived this situation ambiguously. The spokeswoman for the operator, Irina Osadnaya, called this coincidence of images a provocation and promised to soon sue:
“We have invested millions of dollars in this symbol. The search for such perfect forms that would symbolize wisdom and strength was incredibly difficult. We will not allow anyone to use our designs. ”
Representatives of Twitter declined to comment.
