Motorola Mobility sues Apple again

In the world of mobile device manufacturers, there is rarely a lull - all the time someone is quarreling with someone. In general, many companies starting litigation are guided by the principle of “nothing personal, only business,” and sometimes sue companies that were friendly a couple of months ago. Probably one of the leaders in terms of the number of conflicts is Apple. Now, quite a lot of lawsuits have been filed against Apple. Among the companies that sued the Yabloko people is Motorola Mobility (this unit was sold to Google a few months ago, with a huge package of patents).

This week, Motorola Mobility, which has not yet become part of Good Corporation (regulators are still considering closing the deal), has filed a lawsuit against Apple regarding the violation of six Motorola Mobility patents. And all the violations are related to the iPhone 4S. According to Motorola Mobility, some technologies were used in this device, the rights to which belong to this particular company.

Along with the device itself, representatives of Motorola Mobility spotted violations in relation to the iCloud service. The company management believes that this technology from Apple also uses some technologies, the rights to which belong to MM (Motorola Mobility). Actually, the possibility of completing a lawsuit in favor of MM is quite high - but, as it usually happens, a lawsuit can drag on for many months, or even years.

Actually, the fact that MM began to sue Apple is not surprising - Google is now taking over the ownership of a large package of patents acquired with MM, and many companies are clearly not going to be in trouble. As regards this lawsuit, Google prefers to say that they have nothing to do with it, because MM, strictly speaking, is not yet an asset of Good Corporation. But here you can doubt it, agree.
