Yahoo acquired Interclick advertising agency for $ 270 million

It seems that Yahoo is beginning to look for new ways out of the crisis, in which the company has been around for several years. The previous CEO of Yahoo, Carol Bartz, in most cases reduced the company's assets and laid off employees, trying to save money. This time the manual works a little differently. So, to enhance their own capabilities Yahoo Inc. acquired a large advertising agency Interclick, with the actual purchase price by about 20% higher than the nominal.

The previous owner of Interclick has requested a price for the company, based on the price of a share of $ 9, which is 22% higher than the ordinary value of the shares of this company. Interclick was created about 4 years ago, and during this time the company was able to become quite well-known in its field, working mostly with digital media. This feature of Interclick and attracted Yahoo. Management of the latter hopes that Interclick will be able to help Yahoo more firmly establish itself in the advertising field.

In general, Yahoo does a good job selling advertising. Over the past year, the company managed to gain about 600 million. The Yahoo management hopes that this profit can be increased, and Interclick will become the tool that will help develop the corporation's advertising division.

The last major purchase was made by Yahoo in April of this year. Then Yahoo acquired a startup IntoNow for about 20-30 million (the exact amount is unknown). Interestingly, Yahoo itself may soon become part of anyone. It is already known that Google, Microsoft and other potential buyers are interested in buying the company's assets.
