An ideal desk for working at a computer. Error handling

    Dear Habr public,

Not so long ago an article was published on Habr about a computer table with adjustable height "An ideal table for working at a computer . "
In the comments to the article, the Khabrovsk people expressed many comments and advice, most of them sensible.

Taking into account the general interest, activity and “advancement” of Habr’s visitors in this matter, the developer had the idea to provide an opportunity for everyone with an analytical mindset and creative potential to take part in criticizing the second table modification, so to speak, v2.0, at the stage of it designing. And then the final product will be provided to the general attention, taking into account constructive criticism and proposals.

Any constructive criticism is welcome, but, first of all, there will be an attempt to take into account and realize those ideas that can technically be realized by means of simple mortal means, i.e. Chubais nanotechnology is not yet available to the manufacturer, electric whack-whack-transformations in the style of "Autobots forward!" - It’s quite expensive and difficult to install, and adjusting the heating of the legs through the iPhone is not yet in the plans, although the possibility of hanging the footrest with heating can be discussed if there is a need for it.

So, based on the main comments on the previous article, and the comments received from the few, but already owners of the table, the following changes are provided:

    1. The table in the first modification had a narrow tabletop and a sliding shelf:
Worktop with dimensions 130 cm (length) by 60 cm (width)
Retractable shelf - length 70 cm, width - 30 cm.
Many spoke out against the pull-out shelf in the comments.

    Change in design:
    - the sliding shelf for the keyboard is excluded,
    - the width of the countertop is increased by 10 cm to 70 cm (width).
    - the height of the box is reduced, under the table where the shelf went in (it is impossible to completely remove the box - it gives rigidity and strength of the structure, as well as the opportunity to hide wires from the equipment on the countertop in the box).

    2. The monitor stand is fixed - a constant height of 40 cm (from the tabletop to the center of the monitor). It is convenient for standing work, unusual for sitting work.

    2.B. Design change:
Stand with adjustable monitor height (only height), i.e. the monitor goes up and down in the range of 10-15 cm. Of course, there are developments like Ergotron, which can do all kinds of things, but they cost accordingly, so the emphasis will be on “budget”, but at the same time simple and reliable solutions.

    So:

    (First modification)

    (Second modification)

Also below is a photo of the first version of the table how it looks in “real life” (the photo with the girls remains in the
    same post;)

Further wishes: height, shape of the countertop, location of the holes in the countertop, even the color - everything is submitted for discussion in an open dialogue mode in the comments.

You can even suggest what price ceiling is, in your opinion, reasonable. I hope teenage users will refrain from making childish comments in the style of "give 2 for nothing."

All comments from this site will be monitored by the developer and commented as quickly as possible.

PS In sketchup, they sketched the first version with modifications.
    -
Worktop 700 * 1350 - The stand with the gas lift is moved back - 15 cm to the rear edge of the worktop and 50 cm to the front edge of the worktop (the figure below shows the distance along the leg - 45 cm, but at the top the worktop projects 5 cm further than the edge of the leg, total from the edge of the countertop to the rack - 50 cm).
    - At the front of the table, the corners are rounded, behind are left at an angle of 90 radises.
In general, taking into account the comments, it looks something like this. As soon as the details of the monitor holder are drawn, it will be added to the sketch.
