Google has acquired another patent package from IBM

In July of this year, Google acquired a patent package from IBM. The package included 1030 patents relating to various technologies, including microprocessor chip manufacturing technologies, memory modules, working with databases and more. This time Google acquired another 1023 patents from IBM. Experts say a new batch of patents will help Dobra Corporation get additional protection for its mobile OS.

Now patent wars are in full swing, and this year the activity of various corporations related to patents and copyright is the highest in recent years. True, representatives of Google argue that there is no particular danger to the development of the corporation, and the Google team is calmly developing the existing technologies and creating new ones.

But stocking up patents will not hurt. For example, the acquisition of Motorola Mobility for $ 12.5 billion brought the corporation 17 thousand different patents. Recently, Google sold part of these patents to the Taiwanese company NTS. The latter, having received a package of patents, will be able to take a more reliable position in defense in court. Well, the plaintiff in this case is Apple, everything, as usual.

NTS, actively working with the Android mobile OS, has been prosecuted more than once by Apple. This time, the NTS received help from Google, and perhaps the acquired patent package will help the Taiwanese manufacturer get rid of Apple attacks once and for all. Well, Google continues to uphold Android.
