Evernote for Windows has received several new features, including recording and playing audio notes, print preview and a customizable toolbar, as well as a number of other improvements. Below we will talk about new features in more detail.

The latest version of Evernote for Windows includes a new type of notes: Audio . Click on this item and the note will open with the sound bar at the top. When you are ready to dictate, click the Record button. In parallel, you can enter text from the keyboard. Recording will continue even if you switch to some other window or application.
When done, click on “Stop.” After that, the audio recording will be placed in a note. If you want to continue recording in the same note, click on the record button again. The process can be repeated as many times as you need until the maximum allowable size of the note is reached (25 megabytes for a regular account and 50 megabytes for premium accounts ).
This opportunity opens up a new way to memorize in Evernote the maximum amount of various information from meetings, lectures or interviews: write down what was said, take photos of notes and diagrams from a whiteboard or notepad, and supplement these materials with text marks with your thoughts on the topic. Then you can find all these memories in one place.
Playing Audio
Another new feature in Evernote for Windows is the ability to play audio right inside the note. By clicking on the play button opposite the recording icon, you can listen to it without launching an additional player program.
We are committed to developing customization capabilities for the Evernote workspace. Now you can personalize the toolbar by displaying on it the buttons that you use most often. For example, you can put a separate button for sending links to notes on Facebook there, if you usually open your friends access to records this way. To do this, right-click on the panel and select Configure from the context menu . There you can change the location of existing buttons and add separators between them.
We added the “Preview ...” item, which allows you to see how the note will look on paper. Viewing is possible for both individual and several selected notes at once. This will help you estimate the number of pages in complex notes with fragments of web pages or large images in advance.
