Bloggers Against Trash

A picture to attract attention :)

I thought for a long time in what subjects to throw this post, since we worked with our hands - I threw it here.

In this post I will not tell the whole background, especially since everyone who could and where could already buzzed about this action. I want to tell how I “created” my cleaning in Moscow, its results, and my opinion on this.

I learned about the action from Facebook and Twitter about 3 weeks ago, I read where the cleaning will take place, but not one of the places touched me, firstly far away, secondly I do not go there. There was no question whether to go or not to go, the weekend of August 6th was free, I don’t have children, especially families, and the thing is necessary. He wrote a letter to Marina Asadcheva, who oversaw the cleaning in Moscow and the region. She suggested not to be afraid and “create” her cleaning in her area.

Of course, the thought brought some discomfort, but I saw no risk. Filled out an application, provided the necessary data, wrote to friends and acquaintances and waited.

A week before cleaning, calls for participation and questions began to arrive. A flurry of calls and letters fell on Friday, letters arrived even at 2 a.m. I will quote one of them:
Hello! Can I take part in the campaign “bloggers against garbage”? My friend and I would like to participate, but we don’t know if it’s possible without prior agreement. I warn you that if you do not answer me, then we will come anyway;)

Well, how can I refuse such a letter :) In

total, about 30 people signed up. On Friday, the curators of all cleanings gathered for props

Where, as mentioned above, Marina Asadcheva gave out T-shirts, hands, several kinds of bags, a first-aid kit (thank God we didn’t need it, water, plates (an example in the title photo), etc.

    Now about the cleaning itself.
People pulled up by 11 a.m. at 11:20 we started to clean the slope under the observation deck and the forest park. The garbage there - corks from champagne, bottles of water, beer, a drink cap, a sea of cigarette butts, paper, etc. In the forest park we even managed to find a full-sized fire extinguisher. o_O

People on we were looked at differently, someone thought that we were from "Ours" or another organizations, someone said - “oh, Sobyanin is trying,” and some threw new traffic jams into the territory that had just been cleaned.

In total there were 17 of us, ages from 17 years to ± 30. I did not know any of these people before, quite by accident after cleaning it turned out that one of the Yandex employees who arrived (I was a Mail.Ru employee in the past) and we had something to discuss)

Together we collected not so much - only about 25 bags of garbage . 25ti! And how much more ... We cleaned a little more than 3 hours. One of the girls was generally from France, which surprised me. She hardly spoke Russian, but she took an active part in cleaning our rubbish.

For good, you need to land there in the amount of 50-100 people, and just remove everything normally. 1 day, in the sun, nature, there is where to drive then to football. And I thought, there’s a habr, maybe there are 50 people who don’t give a damn.

    What i didn't like
The idea itself is awesome in fact, but the abundance of brands “stuck” to it is a little scary. Almost every participant agreed with this. I will not be doing any advertising here, and maybe I'm wrong, but there is such an opinion.

    Thank you for attention.
