IOS development videos
Hi, habrauzers!
Maybe you saw our announcement on the hub about free iOS development courses. We want to share the good news: we launched these courses and have already conducted four classes! We managed to get through the basics of the Objective-C language, the features of the IDE Xcode, as well as the application of the MVC concept in iOS. But now is not about that.
In the announcement, many asked us if we would organize video recording of lectures for those who do not live in Moscow. Unfortunately, we were not able to record ourselves. But on the other hand, we post on our blog all the materials from the lectures: presentation, screencast of practical tasks, as well as project files. Therefore, if you do not have the opportunity to attend our courses, but still want to quickly and efficiently deal with iOS development - welcome!
The list of topics that we managed to make out at the moment:
Functionality of iOS devices
Objective-C language features: OOP, message sending, selectors, protocols, delegates, memory management
MVC concept in iOS: UIView, UIViewController
Work in Xcode
Standard controls: buttons, decals, images + link between Xcode and Interface Builder
Navigation in the application: navigationController and tabBarController
We will be happy to answer your questions here or by email at team@squeek.ru
In general, this is our first post on the hub as a post on the company’s blog, so a few words about the content of the blog. Here we plan to publish our experience in developing iOS applications, some “hacks” that we had to use, as well as tips on designing user interfaces for iPhone and iPad. If you are interested in learning from us any topics in addition to these, we are waiting for your feedback.
PS Caution, trolls in the comments! :)
UPD: for those who did not immediately understand, we can’t publish our videos on YouTube due to the 15 minute limit that is there for regular videos. For this we specially bought a premium account for vimeo and we will publish it only there, since the audience is so annoyed by the videos from Vkontakte, where there is no restriction.
