It is unlikely that this post will enjoy the same popularity as a report made directly from the exhibition on the fly, but the pictures that were not included in it, and the promised video of the VMware report, should still appear on our blog.
Toward the close of the exhibition, during the awarding ceremony of the lottery questionnaires, we, the company Cloud One, held an auction of virtual machines. It would be possible, of course, for the sake of advertising, to distribute a dozen cars for free, but we prefer to leave these moves to other players in the young cloud market. Our virtual machines are very dear to us in every sense, and, by conducting an auction, we primarily wanted to provide exhibition visitors with the opportunity to purchase machines for their own projects, and not for companies in which they have the honor to work. Although we, of course, do not impose any restrictions on the use of machines. The initial price of the cars was set to 300 rubles, which is more than 10 times lower than their usual cost, and in the case of two played cars of doubled power - and all 20. After the auction and the rally, there was a concert with a buffet table, we did not prudently take pictures on it. In general, CloudConf 2011 was a success, we hope that the organizers will not leave such a good start, and we will all meet again in a year at CloudConf 2012.
On the second day, the reports were even more active, in several audiences at the same time.
In the demo zone, the participants also got comfortable.
These screens closed the areas where equipment and stands were curtailed.
The mood outside the window on the second day changed radically. No sun, no smart boats on the river.
