About how companies accept payments through terminals in Ukraine

    It so happened that by the nature of my current activity I often have to use electronic money (settlements with freelancers, buying domains, advertising services, replenishing mobile phones, etc.).
    Since I have recently moved away from the use of bank cards, I use ordinary payment terminals for these purposes.

    For the last 2 months of use, it was, frankly, a little shocked by the quality of the provision of these services, it seems that the activities of companies that provide money transfer services using payment terminals are not controlled by any government bodies, and therefore the quality of the services is far from perfection:


    - some payment terminals “forget” to issue a check due to the lack of paper for printing it (moreover, this can take up to 1-2 weeks for a single machine)
    - some terminals successfully “forget” that the user has deposited money, and accordingly "forget" them to charge to the account
    - call-center work support for these terminals is just terrible (absolutely incompetent operators, not accepting calls during working hours, it is impossible to draw the answer on the complaint, etc.)

    I would like to describe one of the most fun situations that happened to me so that others would not make mistakes.

    Evening, a large shopping center in the center of Kiev, an EasyPay recharge terminal ( easypay.ua ; easysoft.com.ua ) with the inscription “Television” in one of the menu items on the screen.
    I don’t know who came up with the addition of “Easy” to the name of the enterprise, but, IMHO, this was a bust.
    We are trying to replenish the wallet in the Webmoney system, indicate the number of the wallet, the terminal offers to feed it with money, insert the first bill ...
    And then disappointment awaits us, the terminal tightens the bill, thinks for a long time and on the screen shows the start page again with a proposal to choose where we want to pay ... No error messages, no cash receipt (the issue of which, by the way, is required for a “purchase” in the amount of more than 20 hryvnias in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine).
    We try again to select Webmoney, enter the wallet, the “smart” terminal offers to enter the bill again, but, for some reason, it can no longer drag it into itself.
    We call the call center, the girl offers to indicate her terminal number, wallet ID, thinks for a long time and says that, unfortunately, she can’t see anything now, and, obviously, the funds will be credited to the account within 12 hours.
    The next day, I check the accrual ... for some reason I’m not even surprised, there’s no money, we call the call center again, we wait 5 minutes for the operator to deign, now the response strategy has changed: “Wait 5 business days. The collection will be made, after that we will call you back and let you know when the funds will be transferred. ” Well, wait, I’m even wondering how it all ends.

    More than 5 working days have passed, of course, that no one called me.
    I decided to remind myself, I’m calling the call center number indicated on one of the terminals for 10 hours, but for some reason no one answers at all, the answer is simply “long beeps”, we begin to search the network for other numbers of this wonderful office. We find, call, explain the essence of the issue, wait a few minutes until the operator thinks about the essence of the issue, after that, finally, the operator clarified the wallet and terminal number, thought for a minute and gave the answer “You know, from the results of collection we did not see your payment ". When asked how I can receive the money that I contributed and why the terminal did not give me a cash receipt to deposit funds, which is a violation of the law, the operator did not give an answer, however, she advised me to look at the easysoft.com.ua section on their website Contacts ”, which was done.
    Try to follow the link, this is not the result of the habra effect, it's just someone forgot or did not want to indicate the organization’s contacts.

    Total:
    - the money disappeared somewhere (where the official representatives of the company cannot say)
    - there is nowhere to complain (there are no contacts)

    That pleases me all:

    - although I needed to replenish the wallet for a substantial amount, but I began to replenish it with banknotes of small denomination (as I felt), and therefore it can be considered that I did not fly in
    - getting invaluable experience about possible jambs that could lead to a loss of money.

    PS. All of the above reflects the real situation, the name of the company is real, I don’t see the point of hiding it, the country should know its heroes by sight, especially considering the fact of serious logos (Thawte, PCI certified, Nod 32, etc).
    If company representatives are present at the hub and want to speak out and comment on this wonderful fact, no one forbids them from this.
