Newton Game Dynamics Opened under zlib License

    Popular among game developers, the cross-platform physics engine Newton Game Dynamics is now open and released under the free zlib license. This event took place on February 15th.

    There was enough talk about opening source codes on the engine forum, and many game developers were waiting for this, and such a moment finally arrived.

    Newton Game Dynamics provides the ability to quickly and reliably simulate the physical behavior of environmental objects and game physics. Includes scene control, definition of collisions and reactions to them, and is also quite simple and intuitive to use.

    You can now download the latest stable version not only on the official website of the library, but also in the corresponding section in the project on Google Code. Version 3.0 is under active development and is also available in the SVN project .

    The engine is used in a large number of different projects , among which are, for example, Penumbra Overture and several games for the iPhone. Available videos demonstrating its capabilities. It can work both on GNU / Linux and MS Windows, and on Mac OS X and iOS.
