Plasma radio
I’m not sure that this can be attributed to the topic “working with sound”, but I did not find a more suitable blog.
A simple but quite spectacular experiment can be carried out with a 90-meter steel wire hanging on a 110-meter tower near a powerful radio transmitter :
Due to the large length of the wire, it absorbs the energy of a radio wave broadcasting at a frequency of 549 kHz with amplitude modulation. This allows you to hear a modulating audio signal without any additional devices, right from the vibrations of a powerful electric arc coming from this wire to the ground.
