The Moscow office of the school of English SCHOOL # 1 is located on the attic of an old mansion on Pyatnitskaya.

SCHOOL # 1 differs from the traditional school image. Its creators wanted to get as far away as possible from stereotypes associated with language courses and make a club of interest rather.

Conducting various thematic educational events at the SCHOOL # 1 office constantly justifies the functionality of the interior, and also proves that an interesting design largely contributes to the assimilation of knowledge.

A large audience, which serves as a class for daily classes in small groups, if necessary, is transformed into a "hall" for larger events.

Periodically, the school organizes screenings of films in English, which take place in the lobby: a screen is installed, and sometimes the image is simply projected onto the wall. Spectators are located on the couch and on the pear chairs.

On the walls of the school, instead of the usual symbols of language courses (Big Ben and the alphabet), quotes in English by Muhammad Ali, a Half-liter mouse, Ozzy Osbourne and other famous characters.

Classes are held in classrooms with brick walls, skylights, multi-colored chairs and glass on an easel instead of a flipchart.
