Ubuntu comes with PPA GIMP Paint Studio

work done in GIMP Paint Studio
GIMP Paint Studio is a set of tool settings, high-quality brushes and textures that turns GIMP into a complete drawing program.
Gimp Paint Studio is a collection of brushes and related tool settings (presets) designed to accelerate repetitive tasks. GPS eliminates the need to manually adjust the tool settings each time. Many users do not know about presets (preset tool settings) at all. This feature is rarely discussed, but it is a very useful feature of GIMP.
You can learn more and download the latest GPS version on their website.
Ramon Miranda (developer) calls the main goal of the project to provide an adequate working environment for graphic designers and artists in order to start drawing and feel comfortable in GIMP from the first inclusion.
Installation in ubuntal is much easier due to the emergence of PPA GPS, preliminary installation of GIMP is required (by the way, GPS will work only with GIMP 2.6.x, if your version above needs to be downgraded via purge), for now, put it like this:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa: shnatsel / gimp-paint-studio
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gimp-paint-studio
