Last week, we made several significant changes to Google Translate :
- Translator now shows different translation options. Take for example the phrase about the size of Russia from an English-language Wikipedia article and try to translate it . The translator will tell us the following: “Russia is the largest country in the world, its total area is 17075400 square kilometers (6592800 square miles).” Now, if I click on a word it in the translated sentence, he will tell me other translations of the word, from which I can choose a better word it .
- We also added a tooltip that checks the spelling and corrects you if you make a mistake in writing a word or phrase.
- We also significantly improved the pronunciation of the Translator for 20 languages - now you can easily listen to how a phrase sounds, for example, in Czech or Chinese - just click on the speaker icon. Although beatbox fans may continue to use German to German translation :)
- We have long supported phonetic Latin input. Now we have added an on-screen keyboard for 53 languages, including Russian. Select the appropriate input language and click on the keyboard icon if your computer does not have the layout you need.
