Google will turn off the hint for "pirated" requests

At the request of the RIAA, Google agreed to implement some copyright protection measures .

    1. All requests for blocking information under the DMCA Act will be considered within 24 hours. At the same time, the appeal mechanism will be improved for those whose content is unreasonably deleted.

    2. Autocomplete of search queries in terms closely related to piracy will be blocked . At the same time, Google recognizes that it is not easy to determine which terms are used to search for pirated content.

For example, now, for the query “Begin”, autofill first of all offers “Begin to watch online”. At the request of “Iron Man” in fourth place - “Iron Man 2 torrent”. That is, Google as if prompts you to search for pirated content, which annoys the copyright holders.

    3. Improved anti-piracy surveillance in the AdSense system. According to the rules, contextual advertising has always been forbidden to place on sites with illegal content. However, these rules were violated everywhere for objective reasons (it is difficult to assess the legitimacy or illegality of content for millions of sites). Now, a special mechanism will be created so that copyright holders can quickly identify such sites - and they will be excluded from the AdSense program.

    4. Experiments in the field will continuepreview authorized content .

All these features will be implemented in the coming months.
