Microsoft decided to lower the price of the Xbox 360

Those who have not bought the latest generation of game consoles, but are going to do this, may be satisfied - Microsoft is lowering the prices of its console. It seems that after this company other manufacturers of game consoles, for example, Sony and Nintendo, will begin to reduce prices. How much will the price be reduced? Well, for example, in Japan, prices will be reduced by almost $ 100, from $ 280 to 183 (this is for the Xbox 360 Arcade). In general, prices will be reduced in three stages (geographical) - first in the USA, then in Japan, and only then in Europe.

As usual, price reductions are carried out so that these products are bought more for Christmas and New Year. Microsoft executives hope that such a significant reduction in prices will significantly increase sales. In addition, the price reduction is aimed at ensuring that the console is bought by those who cannot be considered particularly active gamers.

It is clear that video game lovers have long acquired one of the three leaders - either Wii, or PS3, or Xbox 360. These gamers are ready to spend even more money, if only to find the desired device. But those who want to have fun, which do not belong to the category of gamers, still look at prices. Thus, the Xbox 360 buyers can really become much more - not every day the price drops by $ 100, you must admit.

Interestingly, the Sony Playstation 3 now costs almost twice as much in the USA, Japan, and Europe as the notorious Microsoft product. Of course, Sony Playstation 3 is a much more powerful game console, but so far the game developers have not learned how to fully download this game console.

The leader in sales of game consoles is still much more “weak” than the Xbox 360 and especially the PS3, Wii from Nintendo. The developers of the latter proved that the buyer should not be taken in quantity, not in capacities, but in quality - the originality of the released games. True, now the sales of this console and PS3 are somewhat sagging, but the Xbox 360 boasts positive sales dynamics. For example, last month half a million more consoles from Microsoft were sold than in the same period last year.

It seems that with a decrease in price, the number of sales of this console will increase even more.
