FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE Available
Now release 8.1 is officially announced and published release notes.

- major upgrade ipfw (now ipfw3)
- ZFS zpool update and new kernel bootloader with ZFS
- pfil may contain separate filters for VIMAGE jails
- added framework (Highly Avalable STorage) for fail-safe disk system over TCP with master-slave scheme
- a new GEOM_SCHED module has been added to GEOM - the ability to select an I / O manager for individual drives
