Blender Introduction to Nodes (Part 1)

It is very difficult to do without nodes in a blender to achieve interesting effects. Using nodes, you can do a lot. In this article, I will show a very simple and beautiful gradient substitution effect using the ColorRamp node.

1. Open the blender

2. Add a Subdivine modifier to the cube on the stage

3. Set the appropriate values

4. Add Shade Smooth so that the surface becomes smooth

5. Go to the object’s material settings

6. Open the node window

7. Check Use nodes in order to enable nodes. Create the material.

8. Now create a new node and connect it to the Normal material of the material in order to convert it to a Dot, which will be used to change the color using the ColorRamp node, since the transition of one color to another is established through the normals of the object itself.

9. Create the nodes ColorRamp, Mix, connect them as shown in the picture

10. Set the values of the nodes

11. Now let's change the scene. After pressing the space bar, a menu appears, enter “add lamp” into it, select Hemi from the sub-item. Set the settings

12. For rendering, press F12

13. Now with the help of the nodes we will change the rendered layer, namely, add a glow effect using blur

14. Add blur, then two rendering options (with and without the bluer) are mixed using the Mix node, then the color levels are changed using RGB Curves
