Pandigital Electronic Reader

The company Pandigital (manufacturer of electronic photo frames) on Monday announced the release of an electronic reader with a color touchscreen - Pandigital Novel E-book Reader .

The book will work on Android.
Pandigital has partnered with a major book seller, Barnes & Noble, which has agreed to integrate its online store with a new device (more than 1 million e-books are offered).

Novel will have a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 800x600, weighing about 450 grams, have Wi-Fi for the ability to buy and download books, and use the Internet.
The battery charge will last for 6 hours in read mode (just something, in my opinion, catastrophically small). 1 GB of internal memory expandable to 32 GB with an SD / MMC card.

The software will include a virtual keyboard, a built-in dictionary and the ability to view both in horizontal and vertical mode. Novel with an ARM 11 processor will play music and video and support PDF, ePub and HTML formats.

The device will have a built-in e-mail application and with it it will be possible to use LendMe technology from Barnes & Noble (to give books to friends to read for 14 days).

The main advantage of this device will be its price - $ 200 (recommended retail). Pandigital plans to launch sales in June.
