
Linux Integration Services v2.1 Release Candidate for Microsoft Hyper-V Version Available for Download

In March, we announced a beta release of integration components for Linux in the Microsoft Hyper-V environment, which added support for multiprocessor virtual machines, time synchronization, and the integrated shutdown feature of the guest OS. Today we are announcing the Release Candidate (RC) version.
In addition to the features presented in the beta release, the following features were added to RC:
You can download this version of integration components here (LiveID is required and a simple registration on Connect is required). Officially supported are Novell OS SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP3, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 / 5.3 / 5.4 / 5.5.

- Heartbeat: Allows the host OS to determine if the guest OS is working and whether it responds to requests.
- Pluggable Time Source: A plug-in time source module that allows the guest OS to get more accurate time
