“How the Spider Planet Was Created” - a practical guide for technical designers and illustrators
Hello!
I want to present and advertise you my book on matte painting and technical design. In it, I talk about how one of my illustrations was created - “Spider Planet”. I also filmed the process on video for each of the sections of the book, cutting of which can be seen in the body of the post.
The book is a description of the process of creating an illustration of "Spider Planet."
There are no recipes, secrets or magic in it. It can be considered as a
phased description of the process of drawing a specific illustration.
In the course of work on the illustration, the author accompanies each step with a screenshot and a description of all the
actions. After each section, in difficult to understand places that cannot be described in
words in detail, a link to the video is indicated, where everything can be seen clearly with voice
comments.
It should be noted that the book omits the description of standard tools, actions,
filters and image processing techniques, so it can cause questions for beginners
illustrators and designers. At the same time, the
methods used in drawing this illustration are quite simple and accessible even for beginners.
