I believe that every home-builder needs to have such a device. I have long wanted to buy one, and it’s not clear how I used to do without it! The station is compact, those who know other Lukey crafts, old-generation stations made in hefty iron boxes will appreciate the ergonomic body and controls.
The station comes in good packaging.
We open everything, as expected, in polystyrene foam and polyethylene.
We get everything. Included: instruction manual, soldering iron and stand for it, bracket for hairdryer, 3pcs bolts for attaching the hairdryer bracket to the station (only 2pcs are needed, one, apparently, a spare one), stripped-down cellulose sponge (I bought a “full-sized” one right away), a wrench for attaching nozzles for hair dryers, nozzles 3pcs.
We fasten the hair dryer holder to the body. Everything is collected. At the station: airflow adjustment knob “AIR”, hair dryer “HOT AIR” power button, 2 hair dryer temperature adjustment buttons, hair dryer temperature window, “SOLDER” soldering iron power button, 2 soldering iron temperature adjustment buttons, soldering iron temperature window. The soldering iron can be turned off and put into the cupboard.
We plug into the outlet, I want to quickly check and try everything. We measure the temperature of the hair dryer, first at a low temperature, the air volume adjustment knob in the middle position. We set 100 ° C. As you can see, the temperature is quite accurate. The hair dryer operates from 100 ° C to 480 ° C.
Checking a higher temperature. We set 350 ° C and we see that the thermometer shows 378 ° C, which is quite tolerable.

Getting to the soldering iron. The working temperature of the soldering iron is from 200 ° C to 480 ° C. Everyone knows about the defect with a heater; it does not “reach” the bottom of the sting by 7mm. We disassemble the soldering iron.
Ceramic heating element.
It is difficult to get the board out of the handle, but with the help of "narrow pliers" we get out the board and see that the heating element can be easily rearranged by soldering the wires to the "higher" contact pads.

Now the heater practically abuts against the bottom of the sting. We collect everything. Check the soldering iron. We set 300 ° C, in the middle of the sting it shows 271 ° C, and this is understandable, because the temperature of the heater is set, we make a “correction” in the head for the future.
Minor revision. We take such a “non-slip rug”.
Cut two strips from the rug.
And we glue “Moment-Crystal” glue on the bottom of the stand for the soldering iron so that it does not “crawl” on the table. Now the stand is on the table as "dug in"!
At the same time, we cut out the rug and glue such rubber onto the “third hand”, popularly known as “cthulhu” ... And another piece of
advice! In order for the cellulose sponge to not burn, when wiping the sting, of course you need to pour water there, it should always be moistened. BUT! Water is constantly drying. It is necessary to pour not water, but ordinary pharmacy glycerin on the sponge, thoroughly soak the sponge with it. After that, she will always be wet!
The station proved to be excellent at work. The soldering iron and hair dryer go to operating temperature for 10-30 seconds. After turning off the hair dryer, the air continues to go and cool the hair dryer. When reaching 50 ° C, the hair dryer turns off. After work, when the hair dryer is placed in the holder, heating automatically stops. I did not use expensive branded stations, so I have nothing to compare with, for home use, I think even for professional (and 70% of cell phone repair services use these stations), it’s quite suitable! Recommended for purchase!
UPD: I forgot to say that this station has a “fake” ceramic heating element. Inside the ceramics - nichrome. If you want "real" ceramics, you need to buy Lukey 868. But its price is 1000 rubles more.
