Idea: Learn foreign words with books.

Have you ever found yourself thinking that sometimes it is easier to say a word in another language than to remember a word with a suitable meaning in your native language? I have had this quite often. From here the idea was recently born. Not original, but as an “additive” to already existing methods of “learning” foreign languages ​​(IJ). I am absolutely not able to create such a service / program, therefore I post it here.

Essence

Let's take an example of art books. The user selects some popular / favorite book, the program / service processes it before reading in a special way: indexes the words in the book by occurrence and replaces it with translation words from page to page more / more (a sort of gradient).

A rough example

The book has 5 pages. On the first page, the program completely makes the Russian page, on the second page - 1/4 translates the text into another language, on the third page - 2/4, on the fourth - 3/4 and on the last for consolidation in full. BUT since there are usually quite a lot of pages in a book, you can make the “gradient” of the translated words smooth, and the user will already learn some words, if not all, as they read. There are almost no books where from page to page the composition of words completely changes (well, except dictionaries, but not about them).

• So that the user begins to read in his native language, and ends in a foreign language. To first cut into the outline of the story, storyline and the world of narration, and then “guess” the meaning of the words within the meaning of the whole sentence around the word. Therefore, a popular book is needed, or a user's favorite book
• The most common words in the book need to be replaced with the first ones - it will be easier to understand, they are most often used later, which will help them remember better and create a contextual base for remembering other words
• If the book is short or the frequency of words in it is low - it’s better not to completely translate the pages, but leave a mess
• Have a general ranking of the occurrence / usability / importance of words in a foreign language, in order to replace with the first the most important words for understanding the whole language, and not special ones. technical terms with which the text can be flooded, OR ask the user in which area he wants to study the maximum of words, and in which he generally does not need to know, well, other tastes
• The ability to remind a word (again instantly / by click, translate tapu) also should not be taken away - you never know what :)

Total

By the end of reading the work almost without a dictionary, the user will remember a fairly large number of words. And here words should already be entered into the database, distributed according to their reading, and other ratings should be kept ... But this is only for memorizing words.

Grammar should be introduced either on the last pages of large books, or not entered at all - here you need to think more ...
