Robots draw graffiti

Students at Carnegie Mellon University programmed the ABB industrial robot (model 4400) to draw graffiti with two black markers. Robotagger downloads templates for drawing from the site # 000000book , where graffiti artists save digital copies of their work.

Compilation of the image in the movement of the robot, that is, in a specially created programming language GML (Graffiti Markup Language), is carried out using the EyeWriter program .

GML author Evan Roth reveals robot programming details on his blog .
