The X7 is equipped with a Super-35 photomatrix capable of shooting uncompressed video in 6K resolution at 30 frames / s and 3.9K at 59.94 frames / s. The size of one pixel reaches 3.91 microns, and the diagonal of the sensor is 26.6 mm when recording video. The matrix of this size is more sensitive to light, and the dynamic range in 14 steps is wider than the Zenmuse X5S camera (12.8 steps).

The system consists of a new D-Log curve and a D-Gamut RGB color space. Whitepaper (PDF)

D-Log works with 15 dynamic range steps (2 steps wider than the Zenmuse X5S). The X7 stores image details in both dark and light areas, which increases editing capabilities.

D-Gamut captures the entire DCI-P3 color space, traditionally used when filming. D-Gamut is created for shooting video and photos from the drone and covers a larger field of green tones, providing a beautiful gradation of green in the pictures.

In addition, D-Gamut presents skin tone smoothing: tones are distributed to the most appropriate color zones, giving the skin a beautiful natural color. When using the 3D-LUT color management technology, you can smoothly change skin tones even with large differences in exposure.
