LG explains how to watch pirated movies

The fact that pirated DVD rips are used for promotional purposes is not new. As an example, The John Lewis store used rips from the well-known pirate content publisher aXXo to increase sales of iMacs ( proof , proof ), and Saturn, one of the largest sellers of home electronics in Europe, used the same dishonest technique for PR MacBooks ( proof from the Madrid store ).

In the above cases, pirated films were shown on monitors in stores. However, the giant international electronics manufacturer LG has taken a step forward.

So the story. One of the LG products is TVs with a USB connector for the ability to play images, audio and video files from a USB flash drive.

Naturally, the operating instructions are also attached to the TVs. In the picture below, you can see that playing video files from a USB stick in a brochure is described using pirated rips from the Incredibles and Aviator movies (the picture is clickable). Apparently, LG is well aware that the USB input on TVs is used in 99% of cases for watching movies downloaded from the Internet. Although, it is likely that the compilers of the manual just for speed / convenience downloaded a couple of films from the network.
