Each nanosatellite has a gravitap!

Today, Major General Valery Menshikov, who is the Deputy General Director of the State Space Research and Production Center named after M.V. Khrunicheva, as well as the director and supervisor of the A.A. Space Systems Research Institute Maksimova, shared with the pressa curious fact. It turns out that a new generation engine was installed on the Yubileiny satellite, in which, according to Major General, “an unknown phenomenon of the interaction of the working fluid with fields whose nature has not been studied much” is used. No details about the principles of the “gravity caps”, as its creators christened the engine, are known, except that the impulse appears due to the “movement inside the apparatus of a liquid or solid working fluid along a certain trajectory resembling a tornado in shape”. Comrade Menshikov also noted that “a similar engine has already been tested on Earth,” and the development of a new engine, which is planned to be used in “nanosatellites,” will not stop, despite the “frenzied rebuff of people who do not want to dare” (comrade Menshikov hints at the commission to combat pseudoscience of the Russian Academy of Sciences,

UPD (from WiKi): “It was stated that the Yubileiny satellite with an inertioid was launched in May 2008, but this information has no official confirmation.”
