the whole truth about lockerz.com

Hello dear habrayuzer!

Calm down! I do not offer you an invite on lockerz.com . I just want to share my little experience in participating in this project. Almost all of you have probably heard about him;)

But first, some information and links from the past, namely posts from Habrahabr:

As for me, I’ll say right away that I’m unlucky for all sorts of lotteries, draws and freebies, I was finally convinced of this after having studied for 5 years at the university. Rather, in my life I most often came across all kinds of scam than real freebies. Therefore, lockerz was initially skeptical of the lockerz, but still the project hooked me with something and the dream of a free Ipod Touch did not let me sleep peacefully :)
And I started to fulfill the 3 main conditions of the project, invite real friends (for all the time I did everything only one “fake” account), to answer questions (the answers to which they sell to large corporations, you know why;)) and every day go to this dull cute site so that my points multiply.

And now from the past three redeem'ov for me (the so-called exchange time of prizes) we have:

- The first redeem. I don’t really remember when he was, and there isn’t much to remember, then there were no prizes sent outside the USA and I had few points, here.

- t-shirt.

I got such a t-shirt from lockerz, it was unexpected and very nice, the t-shirt was too big for me, I presented it to a friend.

- Second redeem. It took place on November 24, despite the terrible lags of the excellent work of the site, the constant disconnection from it, I managed to order an iPod Touch 8 Gb . My joy knew no bounds, but as it turned out later, and how they answered me in their support (the answer was given in 4 days) - I did not send them the “order receipt” (order confirmation) correctly. Such a bummer was awaited by many European lockerz users. Exactly one thing, that none of my friends or acquaintances received prizes from the second draw, after such a file, faith in the project was significantly reduced.

- Third redeem.In general, the guys from lockerz are great, even if it’s not as fast as we would like, but the site’s speed has started to grow by little. The redeem'a system was changed, now the redeem'a time was not announced in advance, but only the date was said, that is, the redeem'a principle began to change, which saved the site from a number of onlookers and left the most annoying. It happened, I will not say that unexpectedly, but oh, how not at the right time. January 1, 2010 at 00:30 Kiev time (+2 gmt) , that is, at the very height of the New Year’s celebration, our American friends, whose time was -7 hours apart, arranged the whole action.

Miraculously or not, but after 2 full attempts to get the long-awaited prize, I managed to order it and even already received it, it happened about 20 days after 3 redeem'a, which for sending from USA is pretty fast.

Small conclusions:
- lockerz.com is still not a scam.
- Prizes can only be obtained by spending that real amount of time, for which, in principle, one could earn these prizes and buy them on the same amazon.com .
