Cuegenerator

    imageI love listening to radio programs. But more often they go to listen to the recordings. There are many sites for collecting radio set records, which provides unlimited possibilities for selecting and searching for the necessary radio shows. I also like to see the tracklist, but not just to see, but to be able to navigate through it is convenient (i.e. not to calculate the time of the nth track in order to know the transition time). In most cases, the cue-file successfully copes with this task. With it, you can cut the file into parts, or you can use the player’s interface, for example, foobar2000. By the way, I like the last option more, because physically the file retains its integrity. Also, for unification, set files are marked with a group that recorded (TALiON, 1KING, etc.), or a broadcasted Internet radio - which is convenient when searching for cue files for them.

    And here a problem arises. There are a lot of radio shows, but not everyone can find not just a cue-file, but a tracklist in general. If compiling a tracklist is often not trivial, then creating a cue file is the simplest task.

    It is enough to have a tracklist and notepad (notepad). For those who are not familiar with the syntax of cue files here. As you can see, the syntax represents markup indicating who plays what and when. Now you (in any case, those who did not previously) tried to make your first cue-file and made sure that everything is really simple. But if you want to make cue-files regularly, for example, for weekly upcoming radio shows, you will soon think about creating a template, according to which with a minimum amount of copy-paste new lines on the output, you will get your next cue.

    For these purposes, I offer you the light and simple utility CUEgenerator , which takes all the routine work on itself (because computers were made just for this). The interface is simple as a rake. I will mention two functions:
    1. Tracklist. At the moment, the utility correctly parses the tracklist with track numbering, separating the artist from the song’s name, and also finds the time if this was indicated.
    2. Regions List. Using Sony's Sound Forge program, or any other program that allows you to save (copy to the buffer) a list of temporary separation of tracks, you can paste it into this input field and get a completely finished file at the output;
    Just give it a try. I accept your wishes and criticism here, as well as admin@cuegenerator.net

    PS At the moment, CUEgenerator supports:
    - intrance.in - here you can find links to many trance-style radio shows;
    - cuenation.com- The largest site on the English-speaking Internet devoted to cue-files for trance-style radio shows.
