Nokia wise and switching languages on Nokia E52

I honestly admit: I never liked the S60 platform because of its clumsy nature (in any case, according to my inner feelings). But I did not expect such horror as in E52 even from Nokia.

Given: a very beautiful telephone E52, running under S60 3rd Edition FP2, in which the settings indicate Russian as the first input language and English as the second. Task: write a message in Russian using a pair of English words.

It would seem that could be easier? Using for many years phones of different brands, I’m used to the fact that the language is switched either with one button (Samsung, Sony Ericsson), or from the context menu (Motorola). Imagine my surprise when I found out that there was no way to switch to another language right in the input process. More precisely, there is one, but extremely perverted: you have to go into the Options -> Input Options -> Writing Language menu and swap the first and second language there!

In fairness, I must say that when the T9 is on, the phone will try to guess which language you want to type the word in. But this is not an option, because when you try to enter a more or less complicated word, the smart system is constantly mistaken and offers options in the wrong language. Moreover, if you use three languages (for example, Russian / English / Ukrainian), then this feature will not help you at all.

On behalf of all multilingual users, I congratulate Nokia on such an outstanding achievement in the field of usability.
