I worry! And I like it!
Five years later, or maybe earlier, when Google Wave will become an everyday environment for work and communication, my post will probably look a bit naive. Probably, something similar was experienced at one time by the BBS-users on whom we look today with emotion ... And yet I can not help but be delighted - I was really covered in a wave!
Yesterday, at the beginning of the night, I got access to wave.google.com, and in the middle of it a UFO flew up to me and entered the hub, as if hinting to immediately write about it on the blog.
I followed the wave from the summer and, in principle, believed that I had an idea about this project, but only after trying it in action did I really feel the power and potential of Google Wave.
At the moment, it is precisely thinking about what this will turn into over time that brings the greatest pleasure, since brakes and errors occur quite often, which, however, still did not affect my euphoria.
Most of my activity is devoted to working with documents - typing, editing, approving, approving, working with text arrays and databases, and very often I have to make edits, roll back, supplement, remove, and correct. In my particular case, Google Wave is just a discovery. Being familiar with the activities of lawyers, auditors, journalists, and analysts, I can confidently say that they will all be absolutely delighted with Google Wave. Special admiration should be experienced by business travelers.
I am sure that in the near future personal correspondence and communication will also go into a wave - anyone will prefer to play, chat, chat, draw, exchange photo, video and audio content, as well as any files on their personal space than on a social platform, or same by e-mail.
In the near future, Google Wave will certainly become the main habitat for Internet users who do not even need to leave the wave because everything needed will be integrated (or accessible for integration) inside.
Stunning flexibility and intuitive interface allows you to adapt the wave for absolutely any goals and tasks.
After swimming for a day I felt the incredible excitement and agitation in which all Google Wave users stay. However, the delights are mainly at the level of housewives. Still, I read more or less serious thoughts and opinions on specialized forums and blogs.
Overloads are depressing. Users beg not to overwhelm the body of the wave with messages and rationally spend the opportunities that are still scarce. In this regard, it seems to me advisable to hang up a chat at the beginning of the wave in order to cut off the flood and unnecessary questions right in it.
Summarizing - even in the preview-form, Google Wave will be an excellent tool for me, for work and communication. Google Wave makes me feel better!
Good luck to everyone, and I'll go before bed, perhaps, I will plunge again. Have a nice swim!
