How we painted the logo of the Gaming Universe Kanobu

imageIf the project has a bright and memorable name, then drawing a logo for it is a pleasure. We are very lucky! The developers of the Internet resource Kanobu turned to us and asked us to come up with the same bright logo.

The name "Kanobu" comes from the popular children's game "Stone, Scissors, Paper", known in many countries of the world. This kind of tells us that the project is dedicated to all sorts of games, as well as everything connected with them.

We decided to start working on the logo with sketches. The first group illustrates the cyclical nature of the game, which gives the symbol dynamics.

The first sketch of the second group indicates to us the equal opportunity to choose one of the three entities. And the second and third allude to fairy-tale characters: a thug, an elf, a dragon.

We also thought about coat of arms and fashionable glass spheres. But quickly thought better of it and recognized this branch as a dead end.

After discussing the drafts with the client, we selected priority directions for the development of the sign and drew new sketches.

The circular sign with human hands turned out to be the most successful, since it is full of dynamics and conveys the essence of the game well. Next, it was necessary to color the logo in the corporate colors of the Kanobu project: red, blue, orange. Quite unexpectedly, we saw an association of colors with three elements: earth, fire, water.

We added details and made the sign more graphic. It turned out just fine!

What does this sign lack to become a full-fledged logo? Of course branded font spelling! We came up with two different concepts.

After a long torment of choice, we decided to focus on a neutral chopped font. The decorative handwritten font is also very cool, but it too pulls the blanket and distracts from the sign.

We really enjoyed working on the logo for Kanobu and we are very pleased that this project is living and developing. The project website has many interesting reviews, pictures and even videos. Here, for example, is one of the Canobuvost issues :
