Caption: this bag dissolves in water . And it really dissolves. In the hot.

Here is a magazine packed in plastic. Everything seems to be as usual.
However, the package, as stated, is soluble in water.

It is a transparent bag made from a material called harmless-dissolve (literally " harmless dissolution ") from Cyberpack .

We will not pull: we take out the magazine - we put the packet into hot water. The manufacturer advises 60+ degrees (in the picture they put it in hot water from an office drinker).

The plastic immediately begins to dissolve.

Black ink residues from the inscription and white insoluble residues when rubbed between the fingers are slightly sticky, but are easily washed off and, according to the manufacturer, are completely biodegradable.

The manufacturer declares that the decomposition results are completely harmless. It seems like you can even drink them, but researchers who have tried to drink say that it tastes disgusting, so they don’t advise.

In general, in fact, the focus with hot water is shown only to demonstrate that this material is biodegradable. That is, in the normal case, you do not need to boil the package - you can safely throw it into the compost pit. “Hot decomposition” takes place in hot water (in cold water it will not dissolve so quickly).

The packaging is made of a water-degradable substrate, which is 5 times stronger than polyethylene. In a compost environment (or even a dishwasher), it decomposes completely. It is not toxic. That in the natural environment, that in the anaerobic reactor it is easily decomposed by fungi, molds, yeast and other microorganisms. They simply devour this plastic: it suits them as food because it responds to the enzymes that they secrete. In the end, carbon dioxide, water and biomass remain from it.

The company produces a wide range of products from this material. For example, they produce a package for frozen fish, which does not need to be torn, but can be thrown for defrosting with fish - it will dissolve.

There is even a balance of mind made from this material.
