Doctor Web has announced the start of beta testing of Dr.Web for Symbian. Created on the basis of Dr.Web anti-virus scanner, this application protects mobile devices running the Symbian operating system from viruses and spam.
Dr.Web for Symbian can either conduct a full anti-virus scan of the file system, or “scan” files and folders specified by the user (including on removable memory cards). With detected dangerous objects, the conversation is short - delete or quarantine. At the end of its work, the program provides the user with a detailed report.
One of the most important features of Dr.Web for Symbian is the ability to create black and white lists based on which SMS messages and calls are filtered. Thus, you can not only protect yourself from unwanted contacts, but also protect yourself from fraud - in particular, never again receive SMS from supposedly familiar people with a request to put money on the phone.

Any owner of a smartphone with the installed Symbian operating system who has provided Doctor Web developers with an IMEI identifier can take part in Dr.Web beta testing for Symbian. The identifier allows you to provide the program with a signature that guarantees the legitimacy of using the antivirus on this particular smartphone. Without this signature, the program simply will not install. You can get IMEI by dialing * # 06 #. The application distribution kit will be rebuilt weekly - taking into account the new IMEI from those who want to test Dr.Web for Symbian.
