Acer will release a netbook with Android OS this quarter

Acer plans to release a netbook this quarter with two operating systems - Microsoft's Windows and Google's Android. The computer, whose technical specifications are still unknown, was first demonstrated at Computex in Taipei in June. Then representatives of Acer announced that netbook shipments will begin in the third quarter. However, the forecasts did not come true even after two weeks from the beginning of the fourth quarter.

The netbooks presented at the exhibition worked on Android and Windows, but the company's plans at that time were to mass-market machines with two Linux-based operating systems. As you can see, the plans have changed somewhat, and at least Windows will be installed on some machines. Android is a Linux-based operating system developed by Google specifically for smartphones. Several Android smartphones are already on the market. Currently, developers are creating a version of this OS for the PC.
