Looking for KVM ...
Right now, I was crawling around the Diastream, I came across one simple, but certainly useful little thing , but the existing connectors didn’t work for me ...
I would like to see ports: video, 3.5 audio and 2 USB. All this on 2 computers, that is, 2 sets of input ports, and one set for output. Switches, maybe even better, to be separate.
Accordingly, having thought a little and googling (at the same time, not finding anything intelligible), the idea arose to do this with my own hand ...
I would like to ask the public if something similar has been implemented somewhere?
If not, then please share links to resources where it is possible to order various dad / mom ports and / or to the schematics of such switches (I’m interested in the method of switching, although there are already 2 ideas ...). Yes, I confess, I myself haven’t everything I could have rummaged through, and even at 2 a.m. from Saturday to Sunday I don’t have to run any special shopping, there are 2 reasons. The first reason - all the same, knowing our marketing, ordering components on the Internet I will win at a price of at least 2 times :). The second reason - Habr is visited by many smartest people, and this gives hope that the idea will be completed on the first try, with minimal cost and without unnecessary hemorrhoids.
I thank in advance those who respond to the request, or push for practical thought.
- PS:please don’t particularly kick, all the same a personal blog, and the question will not last long ...
UPD: I don’t understand why it was a minus without a comment, but oh well, thanks to iTNitro and l0ser140 users, the problem is practically eliminated .
I will not change the text, let it be evidence of my temporary attack of forgetfulness / dullness.
It remains only to choose a more suitable model ...
From the requirements - video (a simple VGA), mouse, keyboard, audio (a microphone is not necessary at all), and what the D-Link KVM-22 did not suit me , a usb input is extremely desirable, and even a better - 2, for USB devices other than the keyboard and mouse (for example, a flash drive).
Maybe someone has experience using such devices, I don’t want to miscalculate with quality.
I'm sorry that I can’t plus ...
UPD2: So far I have recorded the Aten CS1734B model for myself . In terms of functionality, it’s exactly what I’m looking for, but the price ... doesn’t please ... at least it’s really to take on a soldering iron ...
