Vision like the T-900, on the way

At the University of Washington, led by biotechnology professor Babak A. Parviz, an unusual contact lens is being developed.
They have built-in LED displays for displaying information. The creation of such lenses requires the solution of such issues as power electronics, the creation of an optical system for the normal perception of information from displays. Subsequently, the issue of increasing the wearing time of such lenses will be decided, now their comfortable wearing does not exceed 20 minutes, I think this will be decided by replacing the material of the lens itself, from glass to polymers.
It is planned to provide power without wires, due to the energy of radio frequency radiation. The creation of an additional lens in front of the display made it possible to focus the image so that it is perceived as at a meter distance.
Given such a growing direction as augmented reality, I think such lenses will find their place in the market.
