The first netbook on the HD compatible Nvidia Ion chipset arrived

    Samsung N510 became the first affordable netbook with Nvidia ION (HD compatible chipset). He appeared in Germany and Italy . Expected in France. A cheaper version with Windows XP and DirectX 9 support is

    on sale . In the USA, the N510 will not be sold until Windows 7 (October 22, 2009). In Europe, after October 22, in addition to DirectX version 9, the even more expensive DirectX 10 version on Windows 7 will simply appear. The hardware is the same in both netbooks. Here it is, the first netbook with Ion:

    A focus with a leading - before the release of Microsoft DirectX 10 - netbook output will allow Samsung to thoroughly capture this market niche in the European market, ahead of all its competitors. As I wrote earlier, Lenovo S12 ION was delayed until the release of Win7 , and therefore, contrary to initial expectations, it did not become the first netbook on this HD-compatible chipset.
