train schedule. Railway

    Hi% Username%!
I look you liked my last topic at the railway, well, well, let's try to figure out another interesting point.
We continue to share knowledge . Today we’ll talk about the train timetable
upd: link to the wiki from niro.
In the comments on the previous topics, I noticed an interest in the timetable for the trains.
As always on the fingers ...

You already know that there is not only a “passenger” on the railway, but also freight trains, and take off domestic ones (for domestic use), reconditioning, and, you will not believe, even firefighters, etc. .. Since there are a lot of trains and tracks few, you need to regulate their movement.

Looking ahead, I’ll say that recently in Minsk they created a MCC - Mission Control CenterTransportation. It is almost no different from the one that follows spacecraft (we often saw this in foreign films about space, etc.). The same huge screen in the middle of the hall, on which, instead of ships, operational information about trains is displayed. Very smart guys are sitting there (it just so happened that there are almost no women) who manage all this “anthill” (read more about the MCC and everything connected with it in the future, now there is simply not enough photo and video material for adequate filing ...)

So there are many trains, and to regulate their movement across the territory of the Republic of Belarus, a so-called train schedule is created. This is a very important document, which indicates how, with what speed, where, in what sequence, for what, with what frequency trains move. It also indicates scheduled repairs and more.
The Train Traffic Schedule (hereinafter referred to as the GDP) is a sheet of a format slightly larger than A1, on which all the information a little listed above is displayed in a graphical form.
And now the pictures (I’ll immediately apologize, I’m writing from the parent computer, there is nothing besides the paint).
Here is a simplified diagram of the traffic police.

For a sense of horror, multiply the density of the lines and the size by 10, you get a Whatman paper with a bunch of incomprehensible lines leading nowhere))))) (I remembered my diploma)))
    So on the schedule:
horizontally we have a time scale for the vertical distance.
We see that we have several stations: A, B, C, D. Station B is the largest, for example, sorting. You also noticed periodic and aperiodic lines of 3 colors: red-passenger trains, black-freight, blue-suburban (diesel and electric trains).
    Creating a public transport service
    Let’s now understand what’s what:
Passenger train number 2 departed from station G, after a while he arrived at station B, having stood there for a couple of minutes, set off and, after a while, arrived at the destination station - station A. Well, sort of everything is clear ...
    Now freight train number 2142:
As we can see, he set off some time after passenger number 2, however, at station B the time difference is already more noticeable, even greater, by the time 2142 arrived at station B, passenger number 2 was already at station A. From here we we see that the slope of the lines indicates speed. The steeper - the higher the speed. Freight No. 2142 arrived at station B, and was technologically processed for some time, then he returned to station G, but, attention, as I said in previous posts, he returns, but already changing the number from even to odd On our schedule, he changes 3 times your number, maybe more, or maybe less.
A suburban train runs between station A and B, as we can see, all trains must be “tied up”. Look, it is looped, which gives a reduction in units of rolling stock.
Suburban trains are the last to inflict. The schedule is developed as follows: commuter trains must bring people to work, take them away, run during rush hours and during hours of mass insanity (such as weekends at the cottage).
funny moment about commuter trains. According to the type of cruising, they can be either “slow-moving” or, attention, “fast-moving”. Do not flatter yourself, the fact that your diesel walker is not talking about its advantages in speed, this is just a term saying that the diesel (train) will not stop at every stopping point. You will not see sky-high speeds!
Now is the moment that I am sure was with all of you.
Look at passenger number 4, arriving at station B, it costs a few minutes to skip passenger number 3. Since, for example, train number 3 is an ambulance, and number 4 is just a passenger.
Compare No. 2 and No. 4 - they are both passenger, and their technical capabilities are the same, but due to the fact that he was supposed to stop at station B, his speed limit was much lower than that of the 2nd. This is clearly visible at station B - the temporary discrepancy for which is almost 2 times greater than when departing from station G.
Here it is. Compiled by the State Duma Engineer - graphist, in the department. The traffic police is compiled into sections. For example, purely conditionally, the Brest-Moscow section. The schedule may be completely on the site, but only some stations will appear there, or it may be divided into smaller ones, for example, Minsk-Orsha, etc.
    Another interesting fact:
trains can be sent one after another in the same direction in no less than 8 minutes, provided that there is an automatic lock.
    ps
    The schedule is terribly simplified.
The topic itself. The train schedule is very complex, full of nuances and all sorts of nasty things.
At the university, we have been steaming it for all 5 years, so there are 10 lines that can’t fit in.
From today's post you, most importantly, should catch that the schedule is created for a reason. Train departure times are not set from the bulldozer. The fact that it is very difficult, and responsible. Indeed, on the railroad there is such an indicator as a simple freight car. Extra simple is the loss of money. Therefore, the railway workers know the price of time. Colleagues will support me.
Thanks for attention. See you soon…
