Psion gave the go-ahead to the netbook
Competent comrades from Western journalists shared information that the company Psion, which owns the Netbook brand ("Netbook"), abandoned its claims to this common word today.
Let me remind you that at the end of the year, plainly unknown to anyone, Psion launched a campaign to prohibit the use of the word "netbook". Intel pulled Psion into legal “graters”. And later she received for her unpleasant activity from Dell . But now all this is already in the past. Psion and Intel have made a settlement. Result: Voluntary revocation of Psion trademark rights. So now everyone can use the word "netbook" as they please. Both vendors and journalists.
No further details. Is she needed? Agreement reached, ongoing claims withdrawn. "Netbook" is free. And the Psion PR campaign has ended. Hopefully not in their favor. ;)
