The new Kindle DX again only for the United States

Amazon introduced the “third generation” Kindle DX e-reader. Compared to the Kindle 2, it has quite a few innovations. The main one is a 9.7-inch E-Ink display with a resolution of 1200 x 824 pixels, giving out 16 shades of gray.

Also, the Kindle DX now has 4 GB of internal memory. Support for the PDF format has appeared (in addition to TXT, HTML, DOC, RTF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, AAX, MP3). Of the functional innovations, the possibility of automatically switching from portrait to landscape mode and the ability to adjust the length of the lines is noted. In terms of ergonomics, there are also improvements: navigation keys are moved to the right side of the device. And in general, the Kindle DX is much prettier than its predecessor.

The Kindle DX has support for EVDO and 3G, as well as a Wi-Fi module. A USB port, of course, is also available. You can listen to music by connecting headphones to a regular 3.5 mm jack.

The reader is worth $ 489. Unfortunately, you can only buy it in the USA.
