The next version of the Qt library can now please everyone. This release brought developers an important and unexpected surprise: Qt extends to LGPL . There are also other nice gifts from Qt Software:

Qt Creator is a lightweight cross-platform development environment tailored for C ++ and Qt development. The development of Qt Creator was carried out with an eye to two things: a fully cross-platform development; and ease of use for those who are just starting to get to know Qt.
The Qt Creator environment includes an effective set of tools for creating and testing Qt programs:
Qt Creator is also licensed under LGPL 2.1. Currently, only desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux, and Mac OS) are supported for development, but support for platforms for embedded devices will probably be added in the next few months.
