Iron feature or software cant?

On my laptop it failed and the left touchpad key began to work less often. I was tormented for two days, today it seemed that I had found a solution to the problem: I swapped the left and right keys. It turns out, unlike the mouse, working with the “inverted” buttons is quite convenient. True, there was a small but vicious problem - now a click on the touchpad is processed as the right mouse button, and this is completely worthless. I had to put everything back.

Interestingly, is it an iron “feature” of all touchpads or a software jamb of Windows? And what do lefties who are accustomed to the reverse arrangement of buttons on the mouse - retrain or don’t use a click on the touchpad?
