Museum of Amazing Facts
I want to introduce my project “Museum of Amazing Facts” .
Surely many came across articles such as “50 Useless Facts” or with entire sites containing a dump of such data. Although there is a lot of surprise in these collections, the reliability of the facts cannot be determined in any way. Therefore, myths wander from site to site that elephants are the only animals that can’t jump, or that in the Eskimo language there are more than 30 words for snow, and the Chinese character of two women under one roof means “nuisance”.
For my site of interesting facts, I chose a rule - to post only information that can be confirmed by authoritative sources such as Wikipedia or serious media. Links to original articles are placed under each fact.
You can read the facts page by page or through tags. There is a rating - if you were surprised by the next entry, click the plus sign. I decided to refuse the possibility of commenting on each fact, since I considered that they would be of little value on such a site. Through a special form, you can send a new fact. There is nothing even to say about the presence of RSS - it would be a shame without it (every day on the site at least one new fact).
So, go to the museum and be surprised!
(Thanks to everyone for the karma, moved the post to "I am PR").
