Nigma learned to search by chemical reactions

Hello! Today we launched a search for chemical reactions. Directly in the search bar you can fill in chemical reactions and get a molecular, ionic and abbreviated ionic reaction formula, for example, KOH + H2SO4 = . In the search bar you can write both the starting material and the product ( = NaCl + H2S ). In some cases, when the reaction does not go on, Nigma can explain why this or that reaction does not go: “ K + NaOH

Now we have more than 12 thousand reactions in our database. In the near future we are going to replenish it to 20 thousand. Here there is news about our service, and here - a complete list of tasks.

Before the launch, we consulted Zagorsky Vyacheslav Viktorovich, doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor of chemistry at the SSC of Moscow State University, who has been working for a long time to attract the attention of young people to chemistry and introduce networked forms of education to the masses. He was pleasantly surprised by our developments (he especially liked that we do this for free, quote: “the service will help the advanced user in chemistry to go deeper in his research”) and offered further cooperation to improve this service.

In addition to the text response, we decided that for typical reactions we will also issue a video response. True, while we drew only 1 video: ( see here ). If someone wants to help us with rendering educational videos, or you will find bugs in reactions, then please write in a personal email :)

    Thanks in advance!
