Back in July of this year, the number of 90 million people was registered on Facebook, and now, at the end of October, the number of users of the social network has reached 120 million.
Facebook COO Cheryl Sandberg said that over the past three months, as many people have registered on the social network as in the first 3 years of its existence (2004-2006). The number of developers for the Facebook API has also increased, as a result of which there are currently about 300 thousand additional applications, both expanding the capabilities of your account, and the usual "time kills" such as "Arkanoid" and "Tetris".
I also remind you that at the end of June, the Russian-language localization of the social network was launched, which probably also played a role in increasing the popularity of the network. In total, the project has about 20 localizations.
