Many Apple TV users have been waiting for more capacious hard drives to appear, no more waiting. A guide has been published online detailing the procedure for connecting an external USB disk and increasing the available disk space.

Unfortunately, the process is not elementary; to connect an external drive, terminal handling skills (SSH) are required. In addition, this method was tested only on the first version of the firmware (version 1.1 has not yet been confirmed) and another drawback is that after making all the changes, the size of the built-in hard drive will be reduced by 40 or 160 gigabytes (will not be taken into account by the firmware), but, you see, this is a small price for the ability to connect 1-2 terabytes to your device.
