Comparing the level of training of programmers from different countries by the number of won international programming world championships is the same as comparing the general level of health of people living in different countries by the number of medals won in sports.
But a fairly common misconception says that “Russian programmers are the best, because win the programming world championships all the time. ”
Then following this logic, “Russian people are one of the healthiest in the world, because always win something in sports. ”
But in fact, what?
