Gmail Superstars: Sorting Correspondence

As previously reported, Google announced Gmail Labs .

I personally liked (so far) only one of the new features that my beloved Gmyl has replenished with is Superstars, as I have a weakness for planning and sorting everything out.

I want to share how I will use this function in prioritizing letters. I hope that this will be useful not only to me, and someone, maybe, will discover a new way of sorting correspondence.

I selected several of the proposed “superstars” ...

    I'm not old, I'm Superstar!

... and mentally assigned them the following markings:

Red Star : Urgent request; need to pay attention; You need to postpone everything and do this letter.

Purple star: The message is not very urgent, but you need to answer it within two days (after 24 hours, if necessary, is marked with a red or orange star).

Orange Star : Non-urgent task; waiting until the end of the week, well, or when there will be free time for this ...

Blue Star : A task or message that was sent to me as a supervisor, i.e. I need to track the progress, or check the result (usually the answer will be in the same thread).

Green checkmark : This message contains the result of the work and is waiting for archiving or saving to the local disk.

Green star : A unit of meaning (differs from the previous one in that I write the result at the end of the month in the column “Company Pride”;).

Yellow Star : Favorites. For example: my (and not only) passwords and their reminders, or just interesting links / mailings.

"I" : Contains important information for me about contacts, significant dates, regular events, etc.

For the rest, there is no room in my head. Perhaps someone will throw an interesting little idea?

Before using, it is recommended that you familiarize yourself with the reservations (ENG) .
